1. About 100 kilometers southeast of Cusco, Peru, there is a rainbow made


mountain. This is the mountain of the Seven Colors, also known as
Vinicunca or Rainbow. The mountain is located in the Cordillera del
Vilcanota at 5,200 meters above sea level, in the district of Pitumarca.

2. Machu Picchu is the most outstanding Inca archaeological site due to its
creative urban design, the beauty of its architecture and the fine stone
work of its constructions. In his planning, he took considerable

4. Chan Chan is a pre-Columbian adobe city, built on the northern coast of
Peru by the Chimu. It is the largest adobe city in America and the world.
It is located northwest of the metropolitan area of Trujillo between the
districts of Trujillo and Huanchaco.

5. The Nazca Lines, in southern Peru, are a group of pre-Columbian


geoglyphs that extend into the desert sands. They cover an area of
almost 1,000 square kilometers and there are about 300 distinct figures,
including animals and plants. They are composed of more than 10,000
lines, some of these 30 meters wide and more than 9 kilometers long. It
is easier to see the figures from the air or from nearby mountains.
