Island. Chris is born October 10, 1968; he lives in Manchester and it’s a painter of the twenty-one centuries. His artistic movement is the Proxenetisme. During his childhood, he was very studious. Chris Ofili has studies at the “Young British Artists” a famous art school in United- Kingdom. This artists have participate at the famous exhibition “Sensation” in the “Brooklyn Museum” in New York in 2000. Today when he paints a work, he doesn’t have a real objective. During this exhibition, these works created controversy because they shocked many people. Chris Ofili found his inspiration in the Bible and in the US rap of the 90’s with Snoop Dogg. Because in his point of view, Snoop Dogg is bold and disgusting when he sings and that's what interested her about him. Also, Chris found his inspiration with his own experiences look like his work call “Pimpin’ ain’t eazy” where he denounces the black prostitute in London. He has made a lot of painting for denounce the racism in our society. Chris is conscious of is work is displaced in comparison to the usual ways to fight against racism. But he like make things with contrast and he is passionate by this.
