UrbanPlanning
Planning
Urban planning, also known as town planning,
city planning, regional planning, or rural
planning, is a technical and political process that
is focused on the development and design of land
use and the built environment, including air,
water, and the infrastructure passing into and out
of urban areas, such as transportation,
communications, and distribution networks and
their accessibility.

Urban Planners
Planners do? do?

Urban planners decide how spaces will be

used, considering the impact of
development for an entire area or region.
They evaluate long-term factors, such as
demographics and economic trends, and
make recommendations for the level of
development in an area, what types of
buildings can go where, and what
infrastructure elements are needed to
support growth.

ONSHIPS IN ARCHITECTURAL SPACE
The Influence of Architecture on Society:
Architects, as powerful agents of change, can shape the
built environment, considering social and psychological
ramifications. Thoughtful architecture creates inviting
spaces for people to live, work, and connect, promoting
healthy lifestyles and expressing our thoughts and
emotions. Buildings and structures at various levels, from
individual to social and cultural, contribute to the fabric of
society, reflecting our aspirations and identity.

It is impossible to overlook society's vast construction

influence. As a result, the Architect is an enormously
powerful user with a lot of influence. Community engineers
can renovate buildings and other structures in the same
way that architects can. The architect, on the other hand,
is the one who will reveal the buildings' impact on the
neighbourhood. He is a person who makes something out of
nothing while also considering the social and psychological
ramifications. This aids in the manifestation of societal
change.
Visual perception is essential to the
success of any architectural project, as it
affects users’ overall functionality,
aesthetics, and emotional response. Visual
perception is essential because it directly
impacts how people perceive and engage
with the built environment.
Irregular forms and regular forms can have different
impacts on perception in architecture. Irregular forms
are shapes and forms that deviate from regular
geometric shapes, such as circles and squares. They can
create a sense of dynamism, movement, and energy, as
well as a sense of uniqueness and individuality. Irregular
forms can also evoke emotions and feelings, such as
surprise, curiosity, and excitement. However, irregular
forms can also create a sense of disorientation and
confusion, especially if they need to be better
integrated into the surrounding environment. Regular
forms, on the other hand, are shapes and forms that
follow a regular geometric pattern, such as circles,
squares, and triangles. They can create a sense of
stability, balance, and harmony, as well as a sense of
order and predictability.
Zaha Hadid was an architect known for her unique

and innovative designs that often challenged

conventional notions of space and form. Her designs

often considered the user experience and visual

perception in various ways. User experience was a

key consideration in Hadid’s designs. She sought to

create functional, comfortable, and engaging spaces

for users. Her designs often incorporated sweeping

curves, undulating forms, and organic shapes to

create a sense of movement, dynamism, and energy.

She used innovative materials and lighting to

enhance the visual impact of her designs and create

a sense of drama and excitement. Her designs often

challenged conventional notions of space and form,

and she sought to create memorable and unique

user experiences.
