1. Why did you choose this topic?

- We choose this topic because the online distance learning

modality is one of the common issues and problems in
education that we are now facing-off since the pandemic
begun. And the zoom cloud meeting is one of the online
meeting applications that the teachers and learners use to
continue the teaching and learning process.
2. Explain what your research all about?
- This research is all about the use of zoom cloud meeting as
an educational platform and its effect to the academic
performance of students in English. Zoom cloud meeting is
one of the platforms that is widely used as a learning media
because this application allows learning activities or
discussions like in face -to -face learning and support
communication needs with many people anywhere and
anytime without meeting physically. This research intended
to describe the conditions occur in distance learning
process using zoom as an alternative solving problem and
its effectiveness in learning English in elementary grades
during the covid-19 pandemic.
3. How does each theory relate to your topic?
- The relevant Each theory relevant to our topic by
describing each theory how students receive, process, and
retain their knowledge during the online learning using the
zoom cloud meeting.
4. Explain the scope of your study.
 - This study focused on the effects of students’ academic
performance in English using the zoom cloud meeting as an
educational platform. It also focuses on the correlation
between the student’s perception on the use of zoom
cloud meeting, students’ academic performance, socio-
economic profile in terms of se, financial, economic status,
environment, internet connection, students’ behaviors and
parents’ educational attainment.

7. EXPLAIN YOUR RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

- The study implemented descriptive-correlation research
design. The study will be conduct at kapatagan valley SDA
elementary school, located at kapatagan Lanao del Norte.
The respondents of this research will be the grade 6
learners. In doing this research, the researchers need some
instruments to be flexible in collecting data. The
researchers construct a researcher-made questionnaire.
The statistical tools we use to analyze and interpret the
results of the study are the frequency and percentage,
mean, and t-test.
