Introduction
AEL Mining Services is proud to publish our product catalogue showcasing our product offering.
This is in line with positioning the group as an added value service provider. At AEL, we always aim to
go beyond the product offering to bring you a comprehensive range of services to produce optimum
mining productivity.
Enhanced customer focus drives us to bring you cutting edge technology and innovations from our
R&D team, which play a crucial role in the development of all our products. Hence you will notice the
adjustment of product categories and names. This is in line with our strategy to adopt the AEL name
as our master brand, with a product or service descriptor designating a category, and likewise, a
descriptor designating a specific product or service. So you will find that some of the brand names
that you are accustomed to are rebranded with AEL's name, product or service descriptor and an
alpha-numeric code as the specific product.
The rebranding of our products has rationalised our product range to ensure that only the best and latest offerings are
included. New names are given prominence and old names will appear in smalls after the new names in this edition.
Alongside the formulation of our products, the new AEL Product Catalogue has been put together with meticulous care, and
we hope that it is an invaluable reference tool for you.
With safety at the forefront of our product design focus, on behalf of the AEL management team, I would like to wish you a safe
and productive mining environment.

A Blast Current Indicator (BCI) is a standard Vulcan type “0” fusehead encased
in a waterproof plastic body and connected to two short lead wires for easy
connection to a blasting circuit.
The BCI's are used to verify continuity and sufficient firing current transfer
through the actual blasting circuit before a blast is to be fired. If use correctly,
the possibility of a misfire through the circuit is significantly reduced.
