From the distant past to the present, cheating is one of the most controversial

issues. It appears in all fields of life, especially in the study. In the modern
day, with the development of technology, in addition to writing documents on a
small piece of paper and hiding them in a pocket, copying homework, looking
over at a peer’s text, and plagiarizing…, students also bring wireless earphones
and phones into the exam room. Naturally, it can have many serious
consequences for a student’s life and future.
As you know, the exam is a test of a student’s knowledge or skills in a
particular subject. It reflects students’ true ability through one year or one
semester. But when they cheat and intend to cheat, we didn’t swot up on the
knowledge before the exam, so we don’t have any preparation for it. We think
that we can copy someone, of course, in many ways. That will prevent the
study’s progress because students cannot be able to reach their full potential.
Besides, cheating is unfair to other students. It’s not fair that a student who
copies gets a higher mark than a student who worked hard to complete it In
addition, cheating can’t always be successful. First noticed, then reminded, and
finally, the invigilator comes down to search and finds the materials under the
desk. In case of being caught red-handed, students are faced with suspension or
expulsion from school. The slightest is lowered conduct, but it will be a taint in
your school records and hinder them to join the graduate school and landing a good
job in the future. At that time, teachers and friends will be embarrassed by them;
their parents are very disappointed because of their dishonest behavior. Moreover,
cheating on exams will harm students’ character, even leading to all other bad
habits in society.
In conclusion, cheating on a test is becoming increasingly popular among
students. It affects both the personality and the future of a student. To overcome
this problem, first of all, students need to be raised awareness of the importance
of learning. In addition, the school should set strict rules to handle violations.
