    How do we tell the time?

    You can tell the time in the following ways.

    Hey! What time is it? It’s four nine.

    Mention the numbers


    (hour + minutes).

    For example

    How do we tell the time?

    Use ‘past’ to indicate the minutes that have passed after an hour.

    Use ‘to’ to indicate the minutes remaining until the next hour.

    Past and To form. It is thirty-five past one.


    It is one thirty-five.
    For example

    A Quarter represents 15 minutes.

    A half represents 30 minutes.

    For example It’s half past ten.


    It’s ten thirty.

    o’clock.

    What if we have an
    exact hour? For example
    No minutes past,
    no minutes to.

    It is nine o’clock.
