CONVERSATION WITH PHRASAL VERBS

Students: Frank Thomas and Tatiana Campo Pacheco

T: Wanna hang out this weekend?

F: Sure. What do you feel like doing?

T: We could go out to dinner tomorrow.

F: Sounds good. Pick you up at 8?

T: Oh wait, I forgot! I have to look after my niece tomorrow.

F: Oh, well… What about Sunday?

T: Sunday should be fine. We could go work out in the park.

F: I can’t work out, actually. Didn’t I tell you? I hurt my elbow playing tennis last week, and the doctor
told me to take a rest.

T: Oh, sorry to hear that. Does it hurt?

F: Not really, as long as I take it easy.

T: Well, Clara’s having her birthday party Sunday night. Do you want to go to that?

F: Clara? She’s been a little weird with me for a while now. Plus, I always feel like her

Friends look down on me for some reason.

T: I’m sure they don’t look down on you?

F: Maybe not. But I always feel like they do, am I making that up?

T: I don’t know about her friends, but Clara really likes you a lot!

F: Is that why she’s been acting weird with me ?

T: I guess… You should ask her out !

F: I don’t think so, let’s do something else instead.

T: Anyway, what can you do on Sunday morning?

F: Well, ee could check out the new exhibit at the art museum ?

T: Great !

F: Bye, see you later.
