Any memory device with no moving parts and are based on electronic circuits.
Characteristics: -
i. They have no moving parts.
ii. They store data as 1’s and 0’s within millions of electrical transistors.
Advantages over magnetic Disc Drives: -
i. Last longer than Magnetic Hard Discs.
ii. Faster data access/transfer times.

Hard Drives.
Ans. Uses: -
i. Used in Desktop PCs and laptops to permanently store data such as:
1. Operating Systems.
2. School Work. Photos.
ii. Much faster than the HDDs.
