bank 1) – above limit value/below limit value

Diagnostic conditions
• Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
• Time after engine starts > 10 seconds

Possible cause of fault


♦ Timing set incorrectly

♦ Chain extended

♦ Inlet camshaft loosened

♦ Rotor of inlet camshaft sensor (in V8: bank 1) in incorrect posi-


tion
♦ Inlet camshaft sensor (in V8: bank 1) not installed correctly

Note!
Fault 'P0016 – below limit value/above limit value' is set if the spec-
ified adjustment range (V8 = ± 12 °NW and V6 = ± 13.5 °NW) is not
observed.
