Building Material used in building are;

1. Bricks;

bricks were mainly used as walls and main building structures.it is a type of construction material used to
build walls, pavements, and other elements in construction. Properly, the term brick denotes a unit
primarily composed of clay but is now also used informally to denote units made of other materials or
other chemically cured construction blocks. Bricks can be joined using mortar, adhesives, or by
interlocking. Bricks are usually produced at brickworks in numerous classes, types, materials, and sizes
which vary with region, and are produced in bulk quantities.
 2. English cement

English cement was used as interior plastering and as binding element for the hard cores,
it easily comes from Sudan that time because Sudan was under the colony of English.

3. Thick corrugated iron sheet

Thick corrugated iron sheet was used roofing in all building, but in the current situation
none of these elements were exist.
 4. TIMBER (WOOD)

5. The wood species called heart pine or locally called ‘’ ye lib tid ‘’ was mainly used as window
and door lintel, sill, door and window frame, truss member, railing, and flooring.

6. Sand

The sand was used as joint, finishing, and plastering material in the interior surface mainly around the
porch and reception, this sand is found locally around the area.
