Latest Update – March 1, 2023

Here are my settings for TAT. (Trade Automation Toolbox.) New features are continually being added to this and I’m not
using all of those. I keep it simple. I may add some – like closing near the money late in the day, but I haven’t done that
yet. You are welcome to use these settings to start with, and then adjust them the more you get used to trading with
TAT. I will often manually use the “Set Stop” button or “Close Trade” button on the Dashboard to adjust stops or close
toward the EOD so I don’t end up ITM with a trade.

Set up a name to save your template. On Iron Condor Stop Price Basis, it will use “exact price” unless you tell it
otherwise.

Give it a minimum price and maximum price for entries, and enter the widths you want to allow. I prefer the higher
target rather than the lower target so I don’t click the box “Prefer Lower Target”. On Long Strike Selection, the more
widths that you allow, the better it will find trades with similar credits on each side, in my experience.
I use Stop Market orders, Stop Multiple 1, and -0.15 offset, Trigger is the Mid-Price. There are lots of different ways to
set up stops, so read the documentation for other alternatives that you may prefer. This is just what I do and it’s
worked for me. I don’t have any stop loss adjustments set, but you can do this if you want to adjust the stops towards
the EOD. I just haven’t had time to adjust this since this feature came out. I usually do it manually on the TAT
dashboard.

I don’t use profit targets. They don’t backtest well. And I don’t use timed exits. I set the Fill Progression to 2 attempts,
wait 5 seconds and adjust $.05 if it doesn’t fill. This is usually adequate. I had it set for 1 attempt and it worked okay,
but sometimes I could hear it trying and cancelling, and trying again and cancelling, and trying again. It will try again
and again to fill until the Expiration Minutes are up. (That’s set up in the Schedule menu under Expiration Minutes.
That’s how many minutes it will keep trying to fill until it gives up.)
Settings for Schedule – Enter the quantity of contracts you want to trade here. For “Expiration Minutes”, I give it 10
minutes. (Try to avoid entry times that other people are using.)

Be sure to set market close to your local time so all the times get synced to your local time. Otherwise it will be using
EST. I’m in Central Time Zone so we’re 1 hour behind EST. The time the market closes in my location (Texas) is 3:00pm.
