Settlement on promotion from clerical cadre to officers’ cadre as

security officer in specialist category-2015
Between
BANK OF BARODA
and
ALL INDIA BANK OF BARODA EMPLOYEES’ FEDERATION
(Sole collective Bargaining Agent on behalf of workmen in
Bank of Baroda)

Dated 11th June 2015

Federation for a long time have been discussing with Management for
creating a career path for the Ex-servicemen who have joined the
Bank after serving the Nation.

For the first time in our Bank Federation have negotiated a settlement
which will give an opportunity to Ex-servicemen category to become
security officers. Hence they will be getting one more avenue for
promotion as officer over and above the regular promotion exercise.
The unique feature of this settlement is that those Ex-servicemen who
joined in the subordinate cadre and have completed three years of
active service in the clerical cadre as on the date of issuance of
circular inviting applications for promotion under this exercise will
also be eligible to apply for promotion under this settlement.

Friends, this settlement addressed the need of security officers in the

Zones/Regions as there has been a tremendous shortage of security
officers. At the same time it opens a door of opportunity to our Ex-
servicemen colleagues.

Federation is also discussing a creer path for the watch and ward staff
and are hopeful that federation may sign a settlement for them very
soon.

Method of calculation of commutation:

The commutation is calculated on the basis of commuted value of

pension expressed as number of years’ purchase with reference to the
age of the pensioner as on his next birthday. The commuted value in
the case of an employee retiring at the age of fifty eight years is 10.46
years' purchase and, therefore, if he commutes rupees one hundred

payable to him works out to Rs.100 X 10.46 X 12 = Rs 12,552.

NEW PENSION SCHEME (NPS)

It is mandatory for all employees joining the service after 01.04.2010

January, 2004 at a place under Area-III, he would be paid
wages of Rs.136/-, the calculation of wages payable is as under:
Basic Pay: Rs.2750/-
DA: Rs.1280/-
HRA (6.5%): Rs.179/- Total – Rs.4209/-
Per day wages = Rs.135.77 (Rs.4209 divided by 31 days)
