Task 2: The use of social media is replacing face-to-face interaction among many

people in society. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

In the age of modern technology, an increasing number of people gradually use face-to-face
communication instead of social net-working . Beside communicating through online sites is beneficial
to people, the advantages of meeting in person also cannot be replaced so far. I believe that overall
the disadvantages outweigh the benefits

To begin with, there are some clear advantages of social media meeting rather than depending on
face-to-face one. First, nowadays our families , relatives or friends are separated all over the world
because of the number of different of purposes such as: work, education, marriage,..This means that
family reunion may be not easy to organize without the existence of social media. Thanks to sites on
Internet, it enables us to share moments and memories in daily more frequently which will boost our
relationship up by using its wonderful function.

Second, I would argue for the need of face-to-face interaction in some following reasons. The first one
is social media decrease real human’s emotions, while talking in person are much more superior to
express your feelings and develop social skills by touch or gestures. In addition, in spite of the benefits
from social media, face-to-face interaction avoids many dangers of sites. Many people get scammed
on online by computer hackers who steal their personal information. For instance, to access
something on social media, we are often made to fill personal information like ID card number, date
of birth, phone number. These are really helpful to someone like hackers. So, we should be careful to
unverified demands

In conclusion, although everyone can access the internet and social media is now widely used from
the young to the old, the disadvantages of privacy by using social media comparing to face-to-face
interaction outweigh the benefits of itself.
