Serge Devant’s journey into the realm of electronic music began in

his formative years, heavily influenced by the groundbreaking sounds
of Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, and a plethora of other musical

pioneers. Armed with a solid foundation in classical music, the young
Devant made his way to the vibrant heart of music and culture: New
York City, during the 1990s. At the tender age of 16, he frequented
iconic venues such as the legendary Sound Factory, Twilo, and Tunnel,
absorbing the beats that would come to define his own musical journey.

++62K A chapter with Ultra Records followed, but a serious back injury sustained
Fo llowe rs in a snowboarding accident forced Serge to pause and reflect. During
this hiatus, he rediscovered his creative spirit, birthing the seminal track
@ s ergede v a n t ‘Fearing Love’. This magnetic composition seized the attention of industry
luminaries Lee Foss and Jamie Jones, leading to its release as the flagship
+ +23 K track for Emerald City, a vocal-centric sub-label under Hot Creations.
S ubs c rib e rs ‘Fearing Love’ emerged as the label’s debut offering in April 2015,
earning accolades both within the music community and, subsequently,
++105K in the realm of cinema. Serge personally financed the acclaimed music
video for ‘Fearing Love’, a creation that clinched the Best Music Video
L iste ne rs
award at the prestigious 2016 Hollywood Independent Reel Film Festival.

The resurgence of Serge Devant’s artistry continued, garnering

support from the likes of Damian Lazarus, who featured two
of Serge’s demos on his BBC 1 Radio Essential Mix. This initial
recognition paved the way for subsequent releases on Lazarus’
labels. Notably, Crosstown’s Rebellion imprint saw the release
of two of Serge’s tracks, ‘Intentions’ and ‘The Way You Move’.
