Subject: Invitation Letter for my spouse (Mr. Nijan Khatiwada)

Respected Sir/Madam,

I’m Ms. Karuna Shiwakoti, and I’m married to Mr. Nijan Khatiwada after been together for 4 years.

I am currently enrolled MBA Program which is a 2-years Full-time Graduate program at University
Canada West, Vancouver, British Columbia. My program duration is from September 04, 2023 to April
30, 2024. My study permit is attached for your reference.

I am writing to submit this letter of invitation on behalf of my husband, Mr. Nijan Khatiwada for a
Canadian Spousal Open Work Permit to accompany me during my study period in Canada. His date
of birth is November 03, 1991 and currently lives in Kathmandu, Nepal. His passport number is
PA1958505, contact number is 977-9766849750.

My husband understands me to the core and has been my source of strength and motivation ever
since we have been together. He collaborates with me in all home chores and activities. We share our
chores including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and other. However marginal these mentioned
activities might sound, yet having sound support system into these activities will be very important
during my international student life in UCW. His presence will also ensure I get a needed break from
my routine studies and rejuvenate ourselves with recreational activities. Additionally, it is imperative
I maintain my physical and mental health in good spirits during my tenure as an international student
in foreign land. Having him by my side will ensure I have sound support system for my overall well-
being.

I realized the significance of his presence in the past couple years when I had to face the most
challenging phase of my life battling emotional and psychological issues. I was depressed after the
loss of my grandmother and was prescribed antidepressants, and he took care of me well at that
moment. The COVID-19 and times during the pandemic was especially worse as the healthcare
accessibility was not optimal. I had him as my support, my emotional and mental pillar and my
everything as my parents were not able to visit me during lockdowns.

It was my husband who encouraged me to take my online classes while actively taking care of
mother’s business as an Assistant Manager at the same time. He prepared my work-related logistics,
counselling me with my issues and positivity during significant moments, sharing tales to uplift my
motivation and confidence. Moreover, it was him because of which I can keep moving during difficult
and challenging phases throughout my personal and professional journey. He truly understands the
responsibility of becoming spouse of a person who panics and has anxiety attacks if something goes
wrong.

That is why receiving my visa approval was a bittersweet moment for me, as it meant being away
from my husband, who has been my pillar of support. After getting over my medications and that
phase, I planned to complete my MBA and take full responsibility of my mother’s company as she
plans to retire. I then pursued a new phase of my life by accepting the MBA offer letter from UCW in
Canada and came here for that purpose. However, the course load, the change of culture and not
having friends around has been hard and I fear the same things coming back to me. He would be the
reason behind my successful graduation and my main support system that will guide me to fulfil our
dream of merging his and my mother’s company eventually and being one of the leaders of tourism
industry in Nepal.

Therefore, I kindly request you to consider this application favourably and grant my husband Nijan
Khatiwada the dependent visa to join me in Canada. I am committed to ensuring that Nijan
Khatiwada abides by all immigration regulations and returns to our home country upon the expiry of
the authorized stay.

If you require any further documentation or information, I would be glad to provide any. Along with
this application, I have attached our marriage certificates, proof of our relationship, my study permit
and all the other requirements.

I appreciate your time and consideration in processing this visa application.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Karuna Shiwakoti
