Theory of second language that suits best with Indonesian context.

Theory of Second Language Acquisition in the Indonesian setting: The Sociocultural Theory created
by Lev Vygotsky is one theory that fits the Indonesian setting. The relevance of social interactions and
cultural circumstances in language learning is emphasized in this approach. Social contacts are important in
language acquisition in Indonesian culture. People often learn English through encounters with peers,
instructors, and native English speakers, which is consistent with sociocultural theory. Furthermore, cultural
characteristics and environment impact how English is taught and utilized in Indonesia. The sociocultural
theory of language acquisition recognizes the social and cultural components of language learning and
offers insights into successful teaching and learning strategies.
