CONDENSATION

•Is the process by which water vapor in the air is changed into liquid water.

DEPOSITION

•Occurs when water vapor changes states directly from a gas to solid.

EVAPORATION

•Condenses to form clouds, and precipitates back to earth in the form of rain
and snow.

PERLOCATION

•The movement of the water through the soil itself.

PRECIPITATION

•Water that falls from the atmosphere to the Earth’s surface.

SUBLIMATION

•Conversation between the solid and gaseous phases of matter, with no

TRANSPIRATION

•The movement of water through the atmosphere, specifically from over the
oceans to over land.

•The physical process involving movement of water through the boundary
area where the atmosphere interfaces with the soil.

•Precipitation does not soak into the soil but instead moves on the Earth’s
surface toward steams.
