performance. The results of the study also showed that students felt more interested
and motivated to learn to listen to understanding by using YouTube videos as learning
media during the learning process in the classroom. The implications of this research
is based on the research results, the implication that I can find is that more and more
students will use YouTube videos as learning media because based on the research
results, the application of YouTube videos has a positive and significant impact on
students' listening comprehension performance.

this study were consisted of 78 undergraduate students majoring in General
Management who studied the English conversation course. The data of this study was
collected by using questionnaire, the data analyzed by using Descriptive results

benefits of using media clips to supplement classroom instruction in a foreign
language conversation course. First, learning English through movie clips can help the
students improve their listening skills. Moreover, movies can help the learners to
improve listening skills because they provide learners with practice listening to
different forms of intonation and pronunciation. More than 60% agreed that they
understood intonation and pronunciation in all movie clips. The implications of this

to what copyright restrictions allow. For example, after the students had finished their

Study 7, Farag, S. M (2020) conducted, the problem in this research is what is the
effect of using YouTube to students’ Listening Skills among Non-Native speakers? The
research approach used study was quantitative, the subjects in this study were consist
of 144 students through the stratified sampling method from non-Arabic speaking
students at the International Islamic University Sultan Abdas. The data was collected
by using a self-administered questionnaire and survey questionnaire that consisted of
four parts. The data was analyzed by using screening process of the questionnaires.
According to the result in the Table, 7 opinion of students t-test coefficient is 10.391
and the P-value is 0.000 which is less than 0.05 (i.e. P<0.05). This means that these
variables are statistically significant at 5% significant level. The overall summary of this
regression outcome concerning the coefficient of using YouTube has a significant
influence on listening skills. The implications of this research are the teachers could
try to provide the widest possible time and space for students to improve their
abilities independently, including using YouTube in learning. Consistent evaluation
and supervision is the key to the success of learning using YouTube media.
Study 9, Jawad, A. S. H. (2021) conducted, the problem in this research is what extent
do EFL students develop listening skills through using YouTube?, and what are the
attitudes of EFL students towards learning listening skills through using YouTube?. The
subjects in this study the population of the study is from English students who study
the English Language for the academic year 2019/2020 at Kufrah Faculty of Arts and
Science- Benghazi University. The authors chose a random sample from the
population of study composed of (60) students for the survey study. In this study, the
authors used a quantitative method as a data collection, and this design was gathered
through a questionnaire which is considered as one of the appropriate and reliable
tools that supply us with valid data. Furthermore, this study needs to be conducted
via classroom observation to investigate the correlation between YouTube and
listening skills to provide us with more validity to the finding, but due to many reasons
especially possibilities and time which prevent us from using such means. In this
study, the authors have relied on charts, percentages, and descriptive statistics to
analyze and interpret data. Data Analyses and discussions this one is mainly
concerned with the analyses and discussions of the students' questionnaires. The
researchers conclude that used one tool, the questionnaire, which was helping to
check students' perceptions of using YouTube as an academic tool. From what is

of this research are Teachers can consider the different learning styles and assist their
students in reflecting their experience with English videos to acquire more listening
skills and be comfortable in learning English in order to reach the effective learning by
using the good technological resources in order to meet curriculum goals.
Study 10, Lestari, J. A (2019) conducted, the problem in this research is YouTube vlog
can improve students’ listening skill of eighth grade at MTs DDI Tani Aman Loa Janan?
The subjects in this study were students of VIIIB at MTs DDI Tani Aman were about 29
students. The data collection method in this study used observation checklist,
observation sheet, and test. This technique used observation sheet, field notes, and
test as instruments. First, the observation checklist is a guideline to obtain
information concern the implementation of teaching listening. Second, field note is
used to record the detail information that occur during the implementation of the
action in the classroom that might not be cover in observation such as the
implementation of lesson plans, the classroom atmosphere, and feedback from the
collaboration. The last, test is a set of questions and exercise use to measure the
achievement or ability of the individual or group to test may be constructed primarily
as device to reinforce learning and motivate the students’ performance in the
language. The results of the study prove that the students’ listening skill of eighth
grade at MTs DDI Tani Aman Loa Janan can be improved through YouTube vlog. It
could be seen by students’ mean score was increased. The mean score of preliminary
study was 28.51, while the mean score of test cycle 1 was 70.06. This meant that the
improvement was still needed so the researcher conducted the cycle 2 that was
ended by test cycle 2. The mean score of test cycle 2 was 88.21. It can be concluded,
that watching YouTube vlog related with the lesson can improved the students’
listening skill. Moreover, there was a significant improvement in the mean score of
each test. It was also indicate by teaching listening skill through watching YouTube
vlog can be improved because the students learn English with enjoyable. Based on the
explanations above, it can be concluded that YouTube vlog can significantly improve
the students’ listening skill of eighth grade at MTs DDI Tani Aman Loa Janan. The
implications of this research are teachers should establish a good teacher-learner
partnership and provide the useful platform such as YouTube media in their teaching
tool in order to increase the students' knowledge and make the good progress in
improving their English level.
In contrast, study 4, Wahyuni, A., et al. (2013) found that there was a significantly
positive effect of speaking skill on university students. The problem in this research is
how to improve students' speaking skills through YouTube videos? The subjects in this
study were 40 English education classes at the Technocrat University of Indonesia.
The data collection instrument used the technique of speaking practice tests via
YouTube, surveys, and questionnaires. Three cycles with four steps of planning,
action, observation and reflection. The researcher uses the SPSS 18 application to
analyze the data. The author concludes that the participants who are members of this
study agree that the use of YouTube as a medium to improve the ability of English
education students in speaking class.
