INTRODUCTION

Consecrated life is a gift given by the Father to the Church by means of the Spirit so that, in
faithfulness to the Gospel, the most characteristic trait of the life of His Son Jesus, might be
present in the world and might draw everyone toward the kingdom of God. It is a loving
covenant which entails a divine relationship with Jesus Christ characterized by a conscious and
constant journey of faith.

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord. – (Luke 1:47)

God searched the hearts of His maiden from Cambodia, China, Myanmar and the Philippines.
He called them in their own uniqueness and imperfections, formed, draw them together and
send them forth to become tangible signs of His love in this time of contemporaneity.

Truly, God’s grace and mercy overshadows their journey marked with dark and painful battles in
search of truth and inner freedom. Thus, they have chosen the ‘lotus flower’ as a symbol of
their unwavering faith and courage to go through the reality of life assured of their
‘belovedness’ before God.

Today, we particularly come together in thanksgiving to witness the profession of (Name). She
is a gift to the (Name of the Province) and to the Institute.

We accompany her with our prayers and entrust her to our Lady Help of Christians, that with the
abundance of heavenly gifts, and through the intercession of our Founders, St. John Bosco and
St. Mary Mazzarello, she may be faithful to the love that God has given her.
INTRODUCTION BEFORE OFFERING THE BREAD AND WINE

At the Last Supper, on the night when He was betrayed, our Savior instituted the
Eucharistic sacrifice of His Body and Blood. He did this in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the
Cross throughout the centuries until He should come again, and so to entrust to His beloved
spouse, the Church, a memorial of His death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of
unity, a bond of charity, a paschal banquet in which Christ is eaten, the mind is filled with grace,
and a pledge of future glory is given to us. (Sacrosanctum Concilium, 47)
In this offering of bread and wine each of us is called to offer to the Lord our whole self
and that to transform the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of your Son Jesus Christ, so
we ask you also to transform our work, that it may better contribute to your saving purpose; to
your praise and glory.
