Executive Summary
Fires are a big problem in the Philippines because the cities are crowded, infrastructure is
not well-planned, and many areas lack proper safety measures like firefighting equipment
and easy access to water. This, along with difficulties enforcing safety rules, makes the
country more at risk for fires. This research aims to develop an Automated Fire Detection
and Notification System. Specifically, it aims to create a system with features like a
smoke detector that alerts upon reaching a specific smoke level, a heat detector that sends
a mobile notification, and a message sent to the owner and the nearest fire station once
artificial intelligence, and data analytics, to detect fires swiftly and accurately. By
automating this process, the system can expedite the identification of potential fire
outbreaks, minimizing response time and reducing the risk of widespread damage or harm
to life. Furthermore, its notification feature can alert relevant authorities and individuals
promptly, allowing for rapid and targeted intervention. This innovation not only provides
early detection but also contributes to proactive and efficient fire management, thereby
The goal of this research is to create an Automated Fire Detection and Notification
System. It’s particular objectives are to:
1. To create an Automated Fire Detection and Notification System that includes the
following features:
a. Using a smoke detector that will alert you when the sensor detects a preset level of
smoke.
b. Utilizing the heat detector to respond to heat and send a notification to mobile
phone
c. Once notification is sent, the owner and the nearest fire station will receive a
message.
2. Create a smart system that can quickly find fires.
3. Alert the fire department immediately when a fire is detected.
4. Assist in determining the precise location of the fire to enable a faster response.
5. Ensure the system works well in different places and situations.
6. Test the system in various situations to make sure it works properly.
7. Make the system easy for people to use and understand.
8. Keep improving the system based on feedback and new technology.
Society. This system protects by lowering the risks of fires in public spaces, homes, and
businesses. It boosts community safety, ensuring quick action in case of fires. It saves
lives, prevents property damage, and by quickly responds to fire emergencies
Government Units. This system is valuable for governments because it helps with public
safety. It makes it easier to send help quickly when there's a fire and supports disaster
management.
Schools. Using this system in schools keeps students and staff safe. It stops fire accidents,
so everyone can get out quickly and classes won't be disturbed.
Consumers. This tech gives consumers peace of mind in homes, offices, and public
places. It makes things safer, might lower insurance costs, and gives a sense of security.
Future Researchers. This study is a starting point for future fire safety research. It gives
a structure for more innovation, encouraging researchers to make fire detection better.
Future studies can use this system as a base to find new ways to improve fire safety.
