Introduction

This report aims to provide a detailed account of the construction process of a Type 3 house located
in the MOZAL area, using B25 and B35 concrete as primary materials. Throughout the project, we
encountered significant challenges due to the consistent presence of water in the region,
necessitating creative approaches and robust solutions to ensure the quality and durability of the
construction.

As mentioned earlier, the MOZAL area is characterized by geographical and climatic conditions that
result in a high level of water accumulation. This includes frequent rainfall and the proximity of
water bodies. Such conditions created a challenging environment for building a house, as excessive
moisture can pose risks to the structure and stability of the building.
Objectives
General Objectives
The general objective of this project is to create a functional and cozy home for a family of up to four
people. The house should offer a safe and comfortable environment for its residents, with well-
distributed and energy-efficient spaces.

Specific Objectives
1. Family Space: The project aims to provide a spacious and welcoming living room where the
family can gather and spend quality time together.

2. Comfortable Bedrooms: The project includes three bedrooms, with an emphasis on the
privacy and comfort of each occupant.

3. Functional Kitchen: The kitchen will be designed to facilitate meal preparation and provide
adequate storage space.

4. Energy Efficiency: The project will include measures to reduce energy consumption, such as
thermal insulation and efficient lighting systems.
The construction of the Type 3 house in the MOZAL area was a project that demanded meticulous
attention to various details. The choice of materials played a pivotal role in the process. We decided
to use B25 and B35 concrete, known for their strength and durability. This choice was essential to
ensure that the structure of the house was solid and capable of withstanding the challenging
conditions of the region.

However, one of the major obstacles we faced throughout the construction was the constant
presence of water in the area. To address this issue, we implemented highly effective drainage
strategies. This included the construction of elaborate drainage channels and the installation of
sophisticated drainage systems to efficiently divert water, keeping the area around the house dry
and protected.

Furthermore, the thickness of the house's slab was meticulously designed, with a measurement of
20 centimeters. This was done to ensure that the slab was robust enough to support the weight and
load of the house's structure, even in the adverse and humid conditions of the region. This measure
added an extra layer of security to the project, ensuring its longevity and resilience.

Throughout the construction process, we faced unique challenges due to the specific topography
and climate of MOZAL, but with the careful use of high-quality materials and the implementation of
intelligent water control solutions, we successfully overcame these challenges.

Construction Process
The construction of the house will be carried out according to a well-planned construction plan,
involving several stages and processes. Here are the main steps of the house construction process in
the MOZAL area:

1. Site Preparation: The first step involves preparing the land where the house will be built.
This includes clearing the land, leveling, and, if necessary, excavating for the foundation.

2. Foundation: The foundation is a critical part of the construction. In this case, a solid
reinforced concrete foundation will be used, suitable to support the house's structure. This
will ensure the stability of the construction, even in adverse conditions.

3. Structure: After the foundation, the house's structure will be erected. This involves building
walls, columns, and beams. B25 and B35 concrete will be used to ensure the necessary
structural strength.
4. Drainage: Given the high incidence of water in the region, drainage systems will be installed
around the house. This includes the construction of drainage channels and the
implementation of drainage systems to prevent water from accumulating near the house.

5. Slab: The house's slab will be constructed with a thickness of 20 centimeters to support the
structure's load. This will ensure the house is safe and stable.

6. Walls and Roofing: Internal and external walls will be constructed, and the house's roofing
will be installed to protect the structure from the elements.

7. Electrical and Plumbing Installations: Electrical and plumbing installations will be installed
according to safety and efficiency standards.

8. Finishes: Final finishes such as painting, flooring, and the installation of doors and windows
will be carried out to make the house habitable and aesthetically pleasing.

9. Cleaning and Inspection: After the construction is completed, the area will be cleaned, and a
detailed inspection will be conducted to ensure that all quality standards have been met.

10. Handover: The house will be handed over to the owner, ready for occupancy.
