WHAT IS FIRST AID???


WHAT IS FIRST AID?
First aid is the immediate assistance given to a casualty or
victim of sudden illness or injuries before being taken to a
health unit for further management.
AIM OF GIVING FIRST AID :

To save life
o
To relieve pain.
o
To promote quick recovery.
o
To control bleeding
o
To be able to transport casualties

Wash wound for 10-15 minutes with running


water and soap
Put pressure on the area to stop bleeding
Do apply povidone iodine
Cover it with a bandage
Inform doctor immediately
Take rabies immunoglobulin and vaccine as per
doctor’s advice
