System Configuration
System configuration
The configuration of the K-Pos DP-21 system installed on SMS Serenity is shown in
the Cable Layout Drawing for the vessel. A copy of this drawing can be found in the
Cable Information part of the Drawing File.
Software status
The software installed on SMS Serenity is based on K-Pos DP-21 software release 8.2.2.
System Settings
Printing the display picture
The description of the Screen Capture Printer dialog box in the System Settings section of
the K-Pos DP (OS) Operator Manual is not applicable for SMS Serenity.
The dialog box shown here is modified for SMS Serenity. Its contents is fully described
in the System Settings section of the K-Pos DP (OS) Operator Manual.

Main modes
The following main operating modes are implemented:
• Standby mode
• Joystick mode
• Auto Position mode
For more information, see the Main mode and operating procedures section in the K-Pos
DP (OS) Operator Manual.
Thrusters
Thruster allocation
Ignore the description of the Thruster Allocation dialog box in the Thrusters section of
the K-Pos DP (OS) Operator Manual, as it is not applicable for SMS Serenity.
The thruster allocation modes that are implemented for SMS Serenity affect all operating
modes. To display this dialog box, either click Thruster→Allocation, or press the Alloc
Setup button in the Controls button group.
Mode
VARIABLE
This mode is fully described in the Thrusters section of the K-Pos DP (OS)
Operator Manual.
MANUAL FIX
In this mode the operator can freely set fixed azimuth angles of azimuth thrusters
and rudders/nozzles using the Allocation Settings dialog box.
