1.SERIAL COMMUNICATION
2.MODE OF TRANSFER
The mode of transfer refers to the method used for transferring
data between the central processing unit (CPU) and other devices
in a computer system. There are two primary modes of transfer:
programmed I/O (input/output) and direct memory access (DMA).
When the receiver detects the start bit, it begins sampling the
subsequent bits at specific intervals determined by its clock. By
sampling the bits at these regular intervals, the receiver can
accurately reconstruct the transmitted data byte.
4.PRIORITY OF INTERRUPTS
5. CPU Handling: The CPU can then handle any necessary tasks
related to the completed DMA transfer, such as processing the
data or initiating further actions.
DMA offers several advantages:
SUMMARY
Conclusion: In conclusion, these five essential concepts are the
building blocks that underpin modern technology. Serial
communication ensures the efficient exchange of data, the mode
of transfer dictates how information flows, asynchronous data
transfer offers flexibility, priority of interrupts optimizes task
management, and direct memory access enhances data transfer
efficiency. Together, they empower a vast array of applications,
from everyday devices to advanced computing systems, ensuring
the seamless flow of data and the reliable operation of our
interconnected world. These concepts continue to evolve and
adapt to meet the ever-increasing demands of technology,
securing their enduring relevance in the digital age.
