THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF THOUGHT, RELIGION, OPINION

AND EXPRESSION

It is a classic right of liberalism, which was recognized in the Universal

Declaration of Human Rights: Everyone has the right to freedom of thought,
conscience and religion; this right includes the freedom to change his religion or
belief, as well as the freedom to manifest his religion or belief, individually and
collectively, both in public and in private, by teaching, practicing, worshiping
and observing.

Thus expressed, the Universal Declaration brings together rights that have their
own specificity, religion, cult, beliefs, but all linked to the idea of freedom of
thought, or conscience, as an inherent right of the person. It is about forming a
free opinion and developing one's own ideas, without being disturbed by it.
