the just use of goods are temperance, justice, and solidarity.

19. Pg. 529 What is the social doctrine of the church? The social doctrine of the church
teaches us to treat others with dignity, provide freedom of religion, work so we can
provide for ourselves and our family, it teaches us to make sure workers get paid,
teaches us to be sure we can own property. It teaches us to take care of the
environment, to give others what they need, and teaches us to protect marriage and
family through the law.

20. Pg. 530-531Retell either the parable of the Rich Fool or the Parable of the Rich Man and
Lazarus and explain what they teach about the 7th or 10th Commandments. THe rich
man and Lazarus srory goes like: Lazarus was at a rich man’s gate, waiting for a scrap
of food, but instead, dogs came and licked his wound, while the rich man simply watched
him die, while he sat there in fine linen clothes feasting. That night, both Lazarus and the
Rich man died, but Lazarus went to heaven, and the rich man to hell. This story tells that
you can either live it up on earth, or in heaven with God.

21. Pg. 536 What is the Christian responsibility to the poor? Christ calls us to love our
neighbors and take care of others, and to take care of them.
