During this period, his services were found to be satisfactory in carrying out the job duties.
His responsibilities were to:
1) Write technical specifications for purchase of corporate technology equipment,
networking hardware, and related products
2) Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future
hardware corporate technology needs
3) Aid in development of business continuity & disaster recovery plans, maintain current
knowledge of plan executable and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity
disaster recovery plans
4) Implement desktop server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate
objectives
5) Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, local firewalls, encryption systems, and
all host security systems
6) Responsible to Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user
network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment,
and mobile devices
7) Responsible to install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end
user software networking software products
8) Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex hardware problems for a
variety of end users
9) Implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed
10) Receive respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding IT problems
11) Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in
accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
12) Perform and test routine system backups restores
13) Serve as cornerstone for escalating server issues
14) Provide timely response to customer escalations
15) Perform day-to-day network maintenance like ensuring adequate file server space virus
detection
16) Manage enterprise directory services supporting server infrastructure
17) Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component
inventory and related documentation technical specifications information
