The Temple of Fine Arts (TFA) Managemeni and Faculty welcome you back for the new ierm the new
year 2023, and wish you a bright and successful year of learning and participating in the Arts.
As per our tradition, we will be starting this year's performances with the Tyagaraja- Tansen Festival.
This year's celebration will be held from 18th and 1gth February 2023.
The Tyagaraja-Tansen Music Festival celebrates the lives of Saint Tyagaraja and Miyan Tansen, the
patriachs of Carnatic and Hindustani classical music respectively, by bringing together international and
local performing artistes, teachers, students and music enthusiasts, and will feature student offerings,
lectures and workshops and feature concerts. (See attached program). The entire festival is organized
and managed b! the teachers, students, and volunteer members of TFA.
All students of TFA are expected to participate and attend this festival, and will be involved in this
festival in some form or other, and the teachers will be allocating various roles for each student group.
While the admission to the morning programs in the auditorium are open to all, admission to the evening
programs are restricted, due to the heavy demand. Students who have contributed the annuai festival fee
can collect passes for the evening programs at the TFA office, and parents and other members of the
public will contribute a minimum donation of RM 30 per head to attend.
Please be informed that the TFA office will collect RM 20l- per student for this festival. This will be
collected along with the fees payable for February 2023 Please also note that all scheduled classes
dirring this period (181h and 19th February) will not be conducted, and participation at the events of the
festival is considered as an extended class and a most important aspect of learning.
