Classroom Expectations
This is a reminder of the minimum expectations I have for procedures, conduct, and
behavior in my classroom.

1. Respect Everyone: Treat all classmates, teachers, and school

property with respect.
2. Stay Seated: Unless given permission, remain in your assigned
seat. Everyone will get one bathroom pass per week.*
3. Arrive Prepared: Bring all necessary materials and
assignments every day.
4. Follow Directions: Listen to and follow instructions the first
time they're given.
5. Listen Actively: When someone speaks, listen without
interrupting.
6. Raise Your Hand: For questions or comments, raise your hand
and wait to be acknowledged.
7. Stay Engaged: Participate actively and avoid distractions.
Declaration of Understanding:
I have read and understand what is expected of me in this classroom. I agree to abide by the
above guidelines at all times. I understand that all school rules also apply in Mr. O’Byrne’s
classroom, and I will work to my fullest potential with consistent effort and a positive attitude.
