Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to recommend Mr. Fabo Yatchou Sosthene, matricula, Master
in Bacteriology/Virology, class of 2019-2021, as an excellent candidate for the Fulbright
scholarship for the academic year 2023-2024.

In addition to being his thesis adviser, I was also his teacher during the two years of
his Master's degree. This period spent working together allowed me to discover several
qualities, both human and intellectual, which will make Mr. FABO a special biologist and a
major player in research in Cameroon. In this regard, his master's subject on tuberculosis,
which is new to my department, was proposed by himself. We look forward to continuing to
work together to publish the paper that will present this research. He expressed his ambition,
in this thesis, to go further with this subject by associating it with metagenomics.

His passion for research is probably one of the reasons why he and his friend set up a
statistical analysis group on campus. This activity, beyond the financial aspect, certainly
allows him to always have a knowledge of the research taking place within our university and
elsewhere, because he has a constant desire to learn and to make his contribution to the
improvement of health in his country.

Mr. FABO Yatchou Sosthene will certainly succeed in whatever field of human
biology he studies in the United States. For he is endowed with an open mind and a fairly
sharp intellect that make him an excellent candidate for the Fulbright scholarship.
