 Situation – Maasim is a barangay that part of Region III located within the
municipality of san ildefonso, which is situated in province of the bulacan
philippines.

characterized by it’s agricultural landscape with rice fields and residential
areas, and it is bounded by specific geographical features or neighboring

REFLECTION
In what ways can geography be useful to you in your current field of
study?
Geography is essential in my field of study as a BSED major in social studies because it
helps contextualize historical events, fosters cultural understanding, raises
environmental awareness, develops spatial thinking skills, aids in teaching economic
and political concepts, contributes to citizenship education, enables experiential learning
through field trips, facilitates interdisciplinary connections, and promotes critical thinking
and problem-solving in understanding and teaching various aspects of social studies.
Especially in these times when many issues can be connected to the study of
geography, I can say that I strive not to be blind but open to our country’s current
situation. This is because knowledge of geography provides context for major societal
