• Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8)
is about promoting sustained, inclusive
and sustainable economic growth, full
and productive employment and decent
work for all.
• It aims to promote economic growth,
productivity, and technological innovation,
aiming for full employment and decent
work for all by 2030.
• It has 12 targets
• Sustained Economic Growth- the economy
should grow steadily and consistently over time.
• Inclusive Economic Growth- concept where all
members of society have access to opportunities
and benefit from economic progress.
• Sustainable Economic Growth- an approach that
ensures long-term progress without depleting
natural resources or harming the environment.
• Full and Productive Employment- this means that
everyone who wants to work should have the
opportunity to do so in a productive job that pays a
decent wage.
• Decent Work- this means that work should be
safe, fair and rewarding.

and improve the well-being of all
people.

 Conclusion

Economic growth should be a positive force for the whole planet. We

must make sure that financial progress creates decent and fulfilling
jobs while not harming the environment. We must protect labour
rights and put a stop to modern slavery and child labour. If we
promote job creation with expanded access to banking and financial
services, we can make sure that everybody gets the benefits of
entrepreneurship and innovation.
