Religion has significantly affected many of the Philippine government's decisions regarding human rights issues. For example, LGBT rights and same-sex marriage are prohibited due to religious teachings. Historically, religious laws dictated people's rights and those who did not adhere could be killed or ostracized. While punishments are no longer as severe, religion still influences government policy and systematically oppresses certain groups. People are working to protect human rights through social media, but religion maintains a degree of influence over the government.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND HOW RELIGION HAS AFFECTED MOST OF THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENTS DECISION ABOUT THE ISSUE?
Human rights has always been affected by religion’s involvement in the
government, for example: LGBT rights and gay marriage. The religion hinders the developments of some people’s rights and has been for year. For example; how before the people’s rights has been synonymous with religion’s laws and rights and how if you don’t adhere to their laws and rights will either get you killed or ostracized, tho in this day it isnt as prealent nor as powerful but they still have a say in some government decisions in which they use their authority to encoach upon people’s rights and decisions, as the punishments isnt severe or as deadly as before but they still systematically oppress some people who don’t adhere to their policies and laws. And laws are only there if people follow and authority enforces them. Most prominently today in which social issues are much more prevalent the people who are systematically oppressed are getting help from people from social media and media in generalbut still religion influences the government by a certain degree. Same sex marriage is also prohibited because of religion and how its teachings don’t adhere to some people’s rights and decisions and some people are authority figures follows or listens to them because of how they are brought up and how it doesn’t need part of religon to influence decisions and is also influenced by their teachings and indirectly parents beat it into espescially if you are in a religious family and how they are brought up and taught them at such a young age. We cant also blame them but they still have to take accountability for their actions since they are adults but we can sympathize and relate to them in some way because of some people who are brought up by that way don’t have a choice and don’t have their own world views but influence by their peers not forming their own. SURPRISE HAHAHAHAHAH 300 words jud na sir joke joke rani hahahaha
