TAMBAL YARI: ADDRESSING CRAFTSMEN WHO LACKS ACCESS ON THE INTERNET TO

PROMOTE THEIR LOCAL PRODUCTS IN TERMS OF HANDICRAFTS

I. INTRODUCTION

Social media is a potent revolution that has profoundly altered every

aspect of our lives, including how we socialize and conduct business.

Social networking is a useful marketing tool for companies. Social media

offers businesses the chance to promote their brands in a way that is

transparent to their customers while also being a cheap and effective

technique of promoting. However, there are still a majority of artisans

and craftsmen who are still illiterate and technically incompetent,

which prevents their work from being widely recognized. Because no one

is available to assist them technologically, these craftspeople are

falling behind.

In order to give light and support to these craftsmen, Tambal Yari will

be created and used to gradually boost the products our local craftsmen

have manufactured. Tambal Yari is a platform that will solely focus on

the work of craftsmen in order to find them a rightful audience wherein

their works are appreciated and bought. Furthermore, the project of

Tambal Yari is designed to increase, uplift, and nurture the brand and

potentials of these craftsmen.

Mission: Boosting their products on the internet and nurturing the

potential of our local craftsmen.

Vision: To be the helping hand of craftsmen via internet.

II. PURPOSE

Tambal Yari’s main goal is to help craftsmen to boost their business and

have social media exposure. Since there are many newly built businesses

these days, Tambal Yari is designed to address new and small craft

businesses to find their customers, help those who don’t have access to

the internet, to have social media exposure and sell their product in

the market where their works are appreciated and bought . Tambal Yari is

designed to increase, uplift, and nurture the brand and potentials of

these craftsmen.

This project also aims to build connections between craftsmen and their

customers.

III. DESCRIPTION

Tambal Yari would make a website where craftsmen would have social media

exposure and be able to reach their potential customers. The website

would contain all the necessary information about their products and

their shop. On the website there would be pictures of their products for

visual presentation, the price, contact information, and address of the

shop if there is any. In this way, the customers can find a craft they

would like to purchase and can easily interact with the crafters. This

would help their products be appreciated and bought. This website would
also include a feedback and help button where the customers can give a

feedback and ask help regarding the service of the shop and the quality

of their purchased products. In this way, they can build connection and

to also know what and where they should improve.
