University of Khartoum Student Chapter

Date 24/8/2023
Dear Mr.

With utmost pleasure and deep respect, we, the team of University of Khartoum, extend our
warm greetings to your esteemed self. We write to you today with great anticipation, hoping
that our humble request will receive your kind attention and positive response. We hold high
hopes of your support, as we are nominated to participate in the university program
accompanying the ADIPEC conference, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab
Emirates, on the first of October this year.

Allow us to express our pride in the accomplishments of our university's team, which
participated in last year's edition and rightfully secured the first place in the competition
associated with the university program. This achievement serves as a testament to the
excellence exhibited by the students of the Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas
Engineering. Building upon this remarkable success, we are eager to continue our pursuit of
excellence by participating in this year's competition.

As you are well aware, the Abu Dhabi Petroleum International Exhibition and Conference
(ADIPEC) holds a distinguished position as a global event in the energy and petroleum industry.
The student program accompanying the conference provides an invaluable platform for
students to present their projects to industry experts, gain insights into the latest developments
and technologies, and forge valuable professional connections.

Regrettably, due to the ongoing military conflict in our beloved country, Sudan, acquiring
funding from local companies and institutions has become an arduous task. Many entities that
previously supported educational initiatives have reluctantly ceased their contributions.
Consequently, we find ourselves facing financial difficulties in covering the expenses associated
with our tickets and visas, as the conference solely covers accommodation costs for the
duration of the event.

From this standpoint, and driven by both humanitarian and scholarly motives, we humbly knock
on the doors of your generosity, knowing that you are one who cherishes education and
supports the aspirations of young individuals. We sincerely hope that you will extend your
helping hand to facilitate our participation in this significant conference. Your support holds
immense importance for our academic and scientific journey, undoubtedly aiding us in
becoming future leaders in the field of oil and energy engineering.

We extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Your Excellency for considering our request,
and we eagerly await your favorable response.
Jood Sultan
