Please share one strategy that you could use to foster a more growth-oriented
mindset here.

Shifting Mindset is a big step in achieving our goal. I believe that it’s all in our mind. The power of our
mind can be harness thru continuous learning and experiences. There is a saying that “Those who
cannot change their minds cannot change anything”. And therefore, we will never be able to grow.

These are my strategies in fostering a growth-oriented mindset:

1. Embracing Challenges. Accepting challenges will help us build resilience and makes us wiser.
This challenge opens door for more experiences. This experience will teach us new learning, new
feelings, strength and weaknesses which we didn’t know we possess. Thus, if we keep on
resisting challenges, then we will never be able to learn. Challenges gives us an incredible
opportunity to learn. Shying away from it gives us a lot of negative feelings such as pain, fear,
inability to think and express our own opinion. In other words, we are moving backwards. We
are not moving beyond.

2. Keeping an open-minded attitude. This means that we have to welcome new ideas, information,
weighing the pros and cons and looking at the perspective of the other person without biased.

3. Self-Reflect. From time to time, you might want to take a pause or a break to reflect on the
things that are happening to you. You also need to give yourself time to take a deep breath, have
a coffee, bond with your families and friends. Working with fun gives us to replenish all the
strength lost while working on our deadlines, doing endless household chores, day to day
activities and other trivial things that is happening to us. Self-reflecting promotes a clear mind,
positive mind-set and a healthy and joyous living.
