My most memorable holiday of 2022.

PRINT IT OUT!!!!!

A very Good Morning to everyone. The name’s Shahmeen, from Year 10. Today, I would
like to talk about a holiday that I really enjoyed in 2022. Before I proceed, may I ask if any of you
have ever been to Pakistan? Yes? No? Well, let me enlighten you about my experience of being
there for 10 days.

On October 6th 2022, my family and I took a break and went on a vacation to Pakistan,
back to my hometown. We were supposed to fly to Pakistan on the 18th March 2020, but
unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown begun and so, we couldn’t go and postponed the
trip till further notice.

We arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, Pakistan on the night of the
th
6 . So, now let’s talk about prices of food first because I should. In comparison of quality, taste and
price, Pakistan will definitely win compared to Malaysia. The price of food there is half the price of
food here in Malaysia, even though the type of food is exactly the same. The price range of food
there is about 5-250 MYR for 6 people, which is inexpensive meanwhile here, for 6 people is already
around 400-650 MYR for the same type of food.

Moving on, attraction places. We went to the Lahore Tower, where you could see the
whole City there, Fort Museum, where you could see the history of wars and ancient people of
Pakistan, Rabi Centre, where you can shop for a vast variety of cultural outfits, Moti Bazaar, where
you can shop for inexpensive materials and accessories and many more. again, the prices are half
the price here. We visited Lahore, Islamabad, Rawal Bindi , Bahawalpur and Abbottabad there in
Pakistan.

Now, let’s talk about food because I’m hungry; I’m fasting, so let me imagine about it. The
food there is magnificent. The flavours, ingredients, quality and taste differs from what’s here, and it
is ten times better as it has an authentic taste; it is hearty and cooked with care and love is what I
can assure you. There are vast varieties of food to be chosen: from naan, rice, poori, desserts, drinks,
fruits and many more; affordable prices too. We went to lots of different restaurants to give each a
try and it was all definitely worth our money.

I visited my grandparent’s house in Islamabad, another city in North Pakistan. We had lots
of snacks and chai there, we truly felt like home there as the weather was cold, windy and had a
cosy ambience. We picked freshly-planted fruits there too: oranges, apples, apricots and persimmon
and we ate it. It tasted naturally as sweet as sugar, actually sweeter than sugar haha.

It was truly a memorable yet tiring holiday for all of us as we explored many places and
shopped a lot, like we went with only three luggage, and came home with like six luggage and ten
hand carries, that much we shopped like I’m amazed. Anyways, I hope that I’ll be visiting Pakistan
back soon, am planning too as a matter of fact, but to the hill and mountain side, closer to Kashmir.
The amount of money we spent didn’t matter to us, the experience, memory and precious time we
had was definitely the most valuable thing to and for us.

Well, I hope you enjoyed listening to my trip there, if you ever got a chance to visit
Pakistan, do give it a visit, I’m sure you’ll like it there. That’s all from me. Thank you!
