Hello everyone

My name is Zefanya Yizreel Simatupang and I’m from social 10 class right now I’m gonna present to
you about Toba Lake

The Toba eruption of 75,000 years ago is the largest eruption the world has seen during the past 2
million years.

This eruption emptied the magma chamber, and the subsidence formed a huge caldera. This filled
with rain water and became known as Lake Toba.

The Toba eruption occurred because of the Sumatera Fault.

This fault is a weak zone that became the path for the magma to reach the surface of the earth and
formed an all-powerful eruption. The Toba eruption spewed 2,800 cubic kilometers of material over
central Sumatera, while its ashes spread throughout most of Southeast Asia. Therefore specialists
categorize the Toba volcano as “Volcano-Tectonic, and because of the size of the eruptions it is
knows as a “Super Volcano”:

The beauty of the natural panorama presented by Lake Toba is felt when traveling to Samosir Island
by ferry. The exoticism of the natural scenery along the way to Samosir Island, seems to be able to
bring peace and tranquility. Very beautiful view. The journey then continues to the top of Pusuk
Buhit with a fairly steep and exhausting field. The climb to the top takes about five hours. However,
the trip will not feel tiring because it will be presented with green nature that spoils the eyes. The
