SIMPLE PAST

Look at the text below. Pay attention carefully to the words.

A long time ago, in a small village near the beach in West Sumatra lived a woman and her son,
Malin Kundang. Malin Kundang and her mother had to lived hard because his father had passed
away when he was a baby. One day, when Malin Kundang was sailing, he was a merchant's ship
being raided by a band of pirates. With his bravery, Malin Kundang helped the merchant defeat
the pirates. To thank him, the merchant allowed Malin Kundang to sail with him. Malin Kundang
agreed and left his mother alone. Many years later, Malin Kundang became wealthy When he was
sailing on his trading journey, his ship landed on a coast near a small village. The local people
recognized that it was Malin Kundang. Malin Kundang's mother ran to the beach to meet the new
rich merchant. She wanted to hug him to release her sadness of being lonely after a long time.
When his mother came near him, Malin Kundang who was with his beautiful wife and his ship
crews denier that she was his mother. After that he irdered his crews to set sail to leave the old
woman who was then full of sadness and anger. Finally, she cursed Malin Kundang and he was
thrown out to w small island and turnef inti stone.

Iman’s Answer :

1. Malin Kundang is the boy from poor family, and he had ambition to be a success people
2. By the Time Malin Kundang behavior after he got the lucky to be a rich people and he
came be an arogan boy, which is he not good boy, eventhough they still feel have a
mother but when she (mom) met him, he just denier his mother.
3. Malin Kundang’s mother is always loved him and never forgot with his son, because love
from mother is everlasting.
4. Many kind people in the world, even in our around are like Malin Kundang, once he got
the Rich, beautiful wife, new cars, he felt the arrogant. Hopefully we are not. ^_^
5. We as a human could’nt be an arrogan, because we need each other to be a support
system and to be a spirit to give and spread out love. So the people can feel peacefull and
comfortable.
