GENERIC STRUCTURE :

Paragraph 1 :
At one time, there lived a family of fishermen in the coastal area of Sumatra. The family
consists of father, mother and a son who was named Malin Kundang.
Because the family's financial situation is alarming, the father decided to
make a living in the country by wading across a vast ocean. So the Malin
and his mother stayed in their hut. A week, two weeks, a month, two
months a year even more length, Malin's father also did not return to the
village home. So her mother must replace the position of Malin's father to
make a living. Malin including a bright child but a bit naughty. He often
chasing chickens and hit him with a broom. One day, when Malin was
chasing chickens, she tripped over a stone and a stone hit her right arm
injury. Injury has become a trace dilengannya and cant be lost.
Paragraph 2 : After growing up, Malin Kundang feel sorry for her mother who slam the
bones for a living to raise themselves. He thinks for a living in the country
side in hopes of later when returning to my hometown, he has become a
very rich. Malin interested in the solicitation of a merchant ship captain
who was once poor now become a very rich.
Paragraph 3 : Malin Kundang the point to his mother. His mother initially less agree with
the intention of Malin Kundang, but because it continues to urge Malin,
Malin Kundang mother finally agree though with a heavy heart. After
preparing the supplies and equipment sufficiently, Malin head over to the
dock with escorted by his mother. "My son, if you are already successful and
become a wealthy man, do not you forget your mother and this halamannu
village, son", said Ms. Malin Kundang while teary-eyed.

3. Complication : Paragraph 4 dan Paragraph 7

Malin ridden ship as far as ever, accompanied by Ms. Malin Kundang wave. During
his stay on the ship, Malin Kundang lot to learn about seamanship on the crew that has
been experienced. Along the way, suddenly climbed Malin Kundang ships were attacked
by pirates. All merchandise traders who were on the ship seized by pirates. Even most of
the crew and people on the ship were killed by the pirates. Malin Kundang very lucky he
was not killed by the pirates, because when it happened, Malin immediately hid in a small
space enclosed by the timber.
After a long marriage, Malin and his wife make the voyage with a large and
beautiful ship with the crew and a lot of bodyguards. Mother Malin Kundang that every
day waiting for his son, saw a very beautiful ship, the entrance to the harbor. He saw two
people who were standing on the deck of a ship. He believes that it is her son standing
 with his wife Malin Kundang. Malin Kundang stepped down from the ship. He was
greeted by his mother. Once close enough, his mother saw right dilengan dozen injured
person, the more convinced his mother that he was approached Malin Kundang. "Malin
Kundang, my son, why did you go so long without sending you?", He said, hugging
Malin Kundang. But what happens then? Malin Kundang immediately release her
mother's arms and pushed him up to fall. "Women do not know myself, as my mother
said carelessly," said Malin Kundang at his mother. Malin Kundang pretended not to
recognize her mother, because of shame with her mother who is old and wearing tattered
clothes. "She was your mother?", aks
wife Malin Kundang. "No, he was just a beggar who pretended to be admitted as a
mom to get my property," Malin said to his wife.

4. Resolution : Paragraph 8
Hearing statement and treated arbitrarily by his son, the mother of Malin Kundang
very angry. He did not expect him to be rebellious child. Because anger is mounting,
Malin's mother tipped his hand, saying "Oh God, if he my son, I sumpahi he became a
stone." Not long after the winds roared fierce winds and storms come to destroy the ship
master Kundang. After that Malin Kundang body slowly becomes rigid and in time they
finally shaped into a rock

MORAL VALUE:
As a child, never forget all the services, especially parents
to a mother who was pregnant and raise their children, especially if
until it becomes a child who is rebellious. Disobedience to parents is
one big sin that will be borne by the children.

This is a story about Malin Kundang. He was a boy from a very poor family who live
with his mom. His father is a sailor ... but he had already died..
Malin was a smart boy but a bit naughty. He always chased a chicken and hit it with a
broom, until one day he slip off and hurt himself. The wound left a scar on his hand.
When Malin grew up, he decided to go to city, so one day he would become rich by the
time he went back to the village. Malins mother disagreed with his decision because he was
the only one she had, but Malin had already made up his mind, his mother had no other
choice but to let her only child go.
Malin was travelling by sea, so he came along with one rich merchant. He was hoping
to become one of crew and learn from that merchant.
 Malin went to anyplace wherever the winds took him. Soon he will become a great
succesful man.
Many years has passed since then ...
Malin has become a rich merchant because of his hard work and marry the most
beautiful girl in the world and he had forgotten his mother as well as the village.
On the other hand, Malins mother was getting older. She missed her child so so much
that she had always wait for Malins return at the harbour everyday until one day there was a
merchant who stopped by the village.
She knew it was Malin the moment she saw him. What makes her so sure is because of
the scar on his hand. But Malin deny her as his mother because Malins felt ashame to his
wife and the crew, then be was gone.
Malins mother was really upset then she start to curse him. On his journey Malins
ship begin to shaking and soon it turned into a stone.. until now.
