Environmental
lssues?
Environmental issues are the harmful effects
of human activities on the environment. This
includes both the biological and physical
aspects of the environment. Some of the
major environmental issues that are causing
immense concern are pollution,
overpopulation, waste disposal, climate
change, global warming, deforestation, etc.

 Climate Change
Greenhouse gasses are the major cause of climate
change. Environmental changes have several
destructive impacts such as the melting of glaciers,
change in seasons, epidemics, etc.

Deforestation
Loss of trees in order to make space for
residential, industrial or commercial
projects means that less oxygen is
produced, and temperature and rainfall
are affected.
Plastic Pollution
excessive plastic waste being present in the
environment, harming nature and wildfire.

Air Pollution
contamination of the indoor or outdoor
environment by any chemical, physical or
biological agent that modifies the natural
characteristics of the atmosphere.
 Dynamite Fishing
– Dynamite fishing causes a wave of
devastation. It not only endangers coral reefs,
but it also reduces fish populations, harms
coastal communities and small fisheries
competing with industrial trawlers, and has a
negative impact on the tourism industry.
Overpopulation
– Overpopulation is the state
whereby the human population
rises to an extent exceeding the
carrying capacity of the ecological
setting.

What is Conservation
of The Environment
The protection, preservation, management,
or restoration of natural environments and
the ecological communities that inhabit
them is referred to as environmental
conservation. Conservation is commonly
defined as the management of human use
of natural resources for current public
benefit as well as long-term social and
economic utilisation.
