“A REACTION PAPER: SEVEN SUNDAYS”

By: Hidalgo, Shania Mei T.

I was interested in the movie Seven Sundays, primarily because of the title, which piqued my
interest and led me to watch it. With its original tale of a family and the lessons and important
messages it offers to the audience, especially families, Seven Sundays is truly a great work of art.

The movie's narrative flow, artistic acting, and moral lesson definitely attracted my attention. My
life has been significantly impacted by it. Even though I had watched a lot of other family films,
Seven Sunday was the one that really captured my feelings and emotions. At first, I assumed
Seven Sundays would just be a dull family movie, but it turned out to be much more. After
watching the entire film, I had a completely different opinion of it due to the plot's profundity,
originality, and brilliance. It was a lot more than I had anticipated. While watching, I feel
emotional, since I also have family disputes, but they have already been settled. More life lessons
were learned by me, particularly from family. I discovered that no matter what difficulties you
may face, your family will always be there for you.

Furthermore, the film also expertly presents the essence of Filipino family values, highlighting
the value of spending time with loved ones and resolving conflicts. It serves as a reminder that
preserving strong family ties requires forgiveness and reconciliation.

As a whole, "Seven Sundays" is a touching and very moving movie that examines the difficulties
of family life, age, and the strength of forgiveness. Anyone who understands the significance of
family should see it because of its well-rounded characters, emotional performances, and
meaningful plot. The film's message is crystal clear: It's never too late to mend broken hearts and
reinforce the ties that connect a family.
