Introduction
The skills of a person in the 21st century are a set of abilities that need to be
developed in order to succeed in the modern world. This period is the resumption
of globalization, the digital revolution, mass migration and the prospect of climate
instability. This reality makes it possible to clearly define the role of knowledge in
the lives of our youth .The concept of global competence formulates the
knowledge and skills needed by students in the 21st century. These are necessary
strategies for change, needed to create citizens, workers and leaders that our
society needs in the 21st century. This chapter examines three forces shaping life
on the planet: the downturn of the global economy and changing job requirements;
unprecedented global migration and the changing nature of areas of residence,
identity and citizenship; as well as climate instability and the growing need for
global environmental governance.

The flattened global economy and changing demands of work

The flattened global economy and changing demands of work requirements are
growing and the result of these usual relationships is the process
of globalization. It is believed that the key to successful participation in the new
global labor market is “a deep creative vein that is constantly being updated.” This
requires a new generation of employees who can create ingenious marketing
campaigns and sales operations, introduce new types of software.Global
competence provides from learning, thinking and innovation skills, such as
creative thinking, to life and career-related skills, such as evaluating and managing
one's own work for continuous improvement and adaptation to change.Students
should understand the very economic, technological and social forces that shape
their lives and their future work. students recognize their own points of view and
the points of view of other people and clearly state your position . Most
importantly, preparing to work in a flattened global economy will require from
students the ability to act. This requires them to learn how to identify opportunities
for productive action, as well as to develop and implement sound plans. Prepared
students, as this concept suggests, will be informed, thoughtful and effective
workers in changing times.

Unprecedented global migration

Nowadays, international migration is taking place on a larger scale, so we will
need to prepare all young people both migrating and accepting for the new
conditions in which different cultures coexist. Overcoming this difficulty will be
effective communication, teamwork, the ability to appreciate differences - all this
is necessary for success in the global world.
Preparing our young people to successfully participate in a world of growing
social, cultural and religious diversity will first require teaching them about the
history, languages, geography and cultural contributions of peoples around the
world.
In a world of growing cultural interaction and diversity, students also need to
understand what happens when cultures meet and influence each other. Globally
competent people can study and explain their own worldviews and cultural
traditions, realizing how they affect their interaction in everyday life. Competent
people can also weigh the points of view of others, taking into account factors
including culture, geography, religion and others that are a source of information
for them.

Climate instability and environmental stewardship

Over the past few decades, the earth has increasingly faced changing weather
conditions. Scientists around the world predict that the possibility of further
climate change is high. An important task for the next generations will be
managing the effects of climate change and finding effective solutions. However,
progress in climate change mitigation and adaptation will not depend solely on the
latest technologies, progress will depend on countless private decisions of
individuals. This will require students to understand how we all depend on the
same atmosphere throughout our lives. This will require students to understand
current and future climate solutions and learn to weigh their potential against
risks. The efforts of climate change, its causes and consequences will continue for
generations to come, when today's youth will make decisions. Most importantly,
such individuals will find opportunities to act now as global environmental
stewards preparing for the
work of their generation.

Conclusion
To sum up, global competencies are not specific skills, but a combination of
knowledge, skills, attitudes and values applied in personal or virtual interaction
with people who belong to a different cultural environment, and with participation
in solving global problems that do not have national borders and affect the lives of
current and future generations. I consider that education about global competence
is important because it is a multifaceted goal of lifelong learning. A globally
competent person is able to study local, global problems and issues of intercultural
interaction, understand and evaluate different points of view and worldviews,
successfully and respectfully interact with others, as well as act responsibly to
ensure sustainable development and collective well-being.

global issues and the views and behaviors of others in a comprehensive manner, to
use knowledge of the world and critical thinking in reasoning about global events,
to contribute to improving living conditions in their community, to building a more
just, peaceful, inclusive and environmentally sustainable world. At the same time,
the ability to identify and analyze the diversity of viewpoints and, as a result,
possible interpretations, is one of the key components of the global competence
required in a rapidly changing world.

methods and techniques that will enable the formation of global competencies of
students, which will allow them to live in the modern world and at the same time
contribute to the collective well-being.
