Midterm: Activity 1 (Purposive Communication)

My observations about the video that I watched is, there is a one person who possibly came
from another country who isn’t informed or doesn’t know what the culture, beliefs, and
traditions or even the superstition of the country and people He lives with or stays in. He can’t
communicate and get along with, because of the cultural differences. What’s proper and correct
in one culture may even be offensive with another, that’s why it creates a miscommunication.

Each speaker should be done openness and sensitivity, for them to be understood and be
understand. Because we cannot understand people if we didn’t open our minds and understand
that each people had a different culture and way of communication. We should always practice
openness and sensitivity at all cost, for us to avoid misunderstanding or miscommunications.
