1 Check flexible lead, plugtop and terminals condition. Y
2 Check and test continuity of earth wire. Y
3 Check operation of internal light. Y
4 Check door for any damage or distortion and ensure door seals correctly. Y
5 Check that seals are clean and free from dirt, grease or other contamination. Y
6 Check vents are clean and free of grease and fluff. Y
7 Check door safety interlock switch operation. Y
Whilst oven is working ensure that on opening the door the interlock switches
operates before any leaking of microwave energy is detected on a microwave
radiation leakage detector instrument.
8 Check with microwave radiation leakage detector instrument all door seals, Y
viewing window and total oven for leakage of microwave energy.
9 Record results in log book. Y
