But what does really make the world go

round? Is it the values that we have? Or is it really the money? For you, what would it be? In the modern
world that we live in right now, we always have to strive in order for us to survive. For men, striving
would mean as working a 9 to 5 job everyday for them to sustain their daily cost of living. How about us
girls or women? How are we able to compensate? What are our ways? They say that for us to be able to
earn a man’s trust, we have to seduce them and lure them using our bodily features. But what does it
imply? Are we really that materialistic now?

First hot spot, the CAR. Driving around the city with you laying on your back and your boyfriend taking
you out would be like heaven. Have you ever thought of that as a woman? What attracts you, a guy who
has no car or a guy who has? It’s a very obvious choice so let’s make it a bit harder. Would you like
someone who flashes the latest car model or a guy who has a year old car already? What weighs in
more? After riding his car, you end up on his place. Here’s the second, the CONDOMINIUM. You know
he is filthy rich when he lives on a luxurious condominium on top of a high-end building, right? Flashes
of mirrors would blind you and the amazing Jacuzzi would really invite you to like him that much.
Another thing to consider, would you really want someone who has a good Jacuzzi than a guy who has a
regular bath tub? Think, think, and think!

The next day, you decided to go shopping. You get into an exclusive boutique and drag him with you.
Your eyes bulge as you see the flashing colors of bags, accessories, and the thing that make us girls
weak? Guess what? It’s not the cute tank top, but it’s the 5 inch stilettos. Drooling now? I am too! Now
you get all that you want, went to the counter and stared at your boyfriend for payment. But how does
he do it? He gets the green going. CASH, cash, cash. Following the tiring shopping, you decide to stop for
food. You look on either side for fancy restaurants. Your boyfriend just stares at you and waits for you to
decide. Tik tok, tik tok! You chose a steak house. Your feet hurt because of the exhausting shopping.
Ohm. You take a deep, nice breath and take a seat. You ordered a medium-rare steak paired with
mashed potato and a good wine. Burp! Your full, no, both of you are fool. Now comes the tricky part,
who will pay for the food? Your boyfriend already paid for your expensive shopping spree; will he still
pay for the food? You think of paying it but he hands on to the waiter a silver card, no, it’s a gold CREDIT
CARD. Whew! You got saved for another day’s spending.

Your boyfriend has a car; he has a fancy condominium; he has loads of cash, and; he has a good credit
limit. What does it imply? He has a great CAREER. It’s that simple. Then, suddenly, you woke up from
that dream! What just happened? You’re back to your baggy and ugly clothes, your back to eating once
a day, and your back in taking public transportation. What just happened? Materialism took its toll on
you. What does it mean? Simple, work for your own self. Don’t be too much dependent on your
boyfriend or lover.

Bottom line? It’s ok to dream for the 5 C’s: Cash, Career, Condominium, Credit Card and Car. But as
women, we have to keep pace with men. We are made equally and in this modern time, we have to
stand on our own. It’s good if you have worked and obtained the 5 C’s for yourself, at least its hard-
earned money.
