New speech:

In 2022 we lost 1.3 million people due to car accidents. Those accidents happened because the
driver never knew the risks of doing certain things and didn’t know how they could have prevented
it. My goal today is to educate people on the risks of doing such things so we can get the 1.3 million
number down to hopefully a fraction. I would like to bring up 5 reasons of why such accidents
happen. Let’s start with distracted driving. While you may have heard the term, what exactly is
distracted driving? It is driving while being involved in another task. This includes but is not limited
to: Using cell phones, eating and using GPS navigation systems. But how exactly does that lead to a
collision. Let’s take for example a notification pops up. You go ahead and open it up but now what’s
happening is that all your focus is shifting away from driving and is now going towards that
notification and what happens next is pretty obvious
