QUESTION; Leadership is a calling and Management is a career.
Comment.

Leadership and management are often used interchangeably, but there is a key
distinction between the two. Management is a career, while leadership is a
calling. Managers are responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing,
and controlling the resources of an organization to achieve its goals. They are
also responsible for the day-to-day operations of a business and ensuring that
tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Leaders are responsible for inspiring and motivating others to achieve a

common goal, setting the vision for the future, rallying people around that
vision, creating a culture of trust and respect, and developing the skills and
talents of their team members. While management is a skill that can be learned
and developed, leadership is more innate and can be developed through training
and experience

Leadership is a calling because it is about making a difference in the world

and inspiring others to do the same. They are often motivated by a higher
purpose, willing to sacrifice personal time and energy for the sake of the team
or the cause they believe in. Managers are in demand in all industries and at all
levels of government, earning a good living and enjoying a comfortable
lifestyle. They also have the opportunity to advance their careers and take on
more responsibility. While both leaders and managers are distinct, there are
some similarities between the two. Both leaders and managers need to have
good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think
strategically and make sound decisions. They also need to be able to motivate
and inspire others, create a positive work environment, and help people develop
their skills and talents.

The key difference between leadership and management is that leadership is

about inspiring and motivating others to achieve a common goal, while
management is about planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling
the resources of an organization to achieve its goals. Leaders are often
visionaries who see the big picture and inspire others to follow them, while
managers are more focused on the day-to-day operations of a business and
ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

In conclusion, leadership and management are both important roles in any

organization, but they are two distinct roles with different requirements. Both
leaders and managers need to have good communication, interpersonal skills,
strategic thinking, and the ability to motivate and inspire others. Leaders can be
very good Managers but not all managers can be leaders
