Abstract. The spread of the Covid-19 Virus is now a challenge for health systems in the world, we aim to identify
the future impact of covid-19 on the health system in Indonesia and summarize the existing evidence on the impact
of covid-19 on the health system. We conducted a systematic review of the published literature on the impact of
COVID-19 on the health system in Indonesia following the pre-determined eligibility. Of the 477 research articles
generated from our initial PubMed search from 2019-2021, 43 articles met the inclusion criteria and were included
in the review. The results obtained indicate that the spread of the Covid-19 virus has a very strong impact on the
national health system, seen from the various sub-systems between the health efforts subsystem, the health research
and development subsystem, subsystem of health financing, subsystem of health human resources, subsystem of
pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and food, subsystem of management, health information and
regulation, subsystem of community empowerment. Indonesia's national health system in the future will face
challenges in various sub-systems and strategic steps need to be taken in efforts to handle the pandemic by the
government which must be carried out in various health sectors as well as good collaboration, cooperation and
commitment in handling the Covid-19 pandemic so that problems can be overcome. can be resolved well .
